• The Colorado Biathlon Club range is hosted by the Snow Mountain Ranch/YMCA of the Rockies Nordic Center. The range is at approximately 8800' feet elevation (and higher). See the PDF version of the trail map. Grooming reports are available at Nordic Pulse.
• The range is approximately a 1km ski from the Nordic Center.
• There are no restroom facilities at the range (although we do have a privacy shelter to save you the effort of finding a suitable tree!)
• Our penalty loop is not regulation in terms of precise distance nor flatness (hit all the targets and our quirky penalty loop is irrelevant).
• Due to our small (14 firing points) range, we split our race zero period into two 25 minute zero periods, with a quick paper change in between. Your zero wave will be assigned at bib pickup, and you will sign up for a paper at that time.
• Your rifle must be cased until you're at the range. Rifles are not allowed in the downstairs (rental and shopping area) at the Nordic Center, and must not be left unattended.

Our event overlaps spring break and spring skiing, so book a room sooner rather than later! Here are a few options to consider (no recommendation implied).

• Staying on the SMR grounds is the most convenient option, although lodging is limited due to spring break crowds. Follow the "Book a Trip" link at the SMR web site.
• There are usually Air BnBs or VRBOs available in the area. If you don't have a four-wheel drive vehicle, confirm that the location will be accessible!
• There are a few options in the Granby area, including the Inn at Silver Creek. Some units have kitchenettes.
• The Holiday Inn Express in Fraser still shows some availability.

• If you're flying into Colorado, allow at least 2.5 hours to make the drive from DIA to SMR. It might be less if there's absolutely zero traffic, but depending on the time of day and road conditions it could (and probably will) be longer.
• Home James provides shuttle service between DIA and various Grand County locations.
• Grand Mountain Rides is another shuttle service covering Grand County locations.
